ANA has been a *A member of MR for a while. I think Mexicana as well. Unfortunately, still no Oneworld participant.

Point taken. And Air Lingus, Qantas, and (almost Oneworld) Swiss. I should have been more clear that there was not the ability to transfer miles into a FF account of a Oneworld member, as far as I am aware.

Good point, never tried to get an award through ANA, but I have read their program and it is lousy. I think Mexicana just exited from *A if I am not mistaken.

Last year, I t/f'd MR to ANA for use on a flight in F from SFO to MUC on LH. Everything went well. (I had no prior relationship with ANA.)

One of those little "info-offers" that came with my MR statement states, "Starting April 1, 2004, transfer Membership Rewards points to Aeroplan Miles for travel to over 120 countries on the seventeen members of the Star Alliance(TM) network, including Air Canada." I think we're in business! ^
Too late : I just transfered a bunch of MR points to AF ...
