Hilton HHonors - Diamond Status Question

Hi everyone,
Ready to make first time Diamond status after two more stays and looking for some info from all the Diamond's out there. Can anyone tell me if Hilton Honors automatically sends a new card or will I have to call. Also how long is this status good for? Is it one year from the date you make status or for the remainder of 2004 only? Thanks!

They will send it quite quickly.
If you qualified this year under 28 stays/60 nights rule it should be valid till 4/2006.
If you did a fast track it will only be valid till 4/2005.

I did it the old fashioned way, 28 stays in 2 months. I didn't realize it would be good until 4/2006. Thank you Tinkybelle!

Hilton will eventually send a card to you. One really doesn't need the card though. If you have your Honors number in the res. you will be all set. One place that you do need the card is at the properties in Vegas.

You will probably get two cards with different expiration dates. Your expiration date, no matter what the card says is in 2006 (you will be diamond for the remainder of this year, you qualified this year for all of next year, plus the couple of months they give you).

I've heard a rumor they are going to try to move to anniversary expirations from when you make it, but nothing more yet.

My new diamond card arrived within 2 weeks after qualification. Expiration date 4/2006.
