MSN had this on their front page, linked to

http://www.microsoft.com/security/security_bulletins/200404_windows.asp

If you have any version of Windows from NT and 98 on up, they have critical updates. No clue what they address, but may be worth a click.

Windowsupdate has been hammered for days. Two machines that I installed these 4 or 5 patches on would not install the last two without a reboot in the middle of the update process. I was shocked that did not break something--we'll see.

Next time, I'm pulling the patches down and installing them by hand, not using windows update (fortunately, my SMS crew had this solved for the corporate laptop ^ ).

I got them pushed to me (under WinXP SP2 RC) and haven't had any problems with them...

d/l all without a hitch on 3 Win XP Pro machines. I really wonder why I did it as I usuall wait many months to see what problems the d/l occur.

I downloaded these patches about 3 days ago (before I read this thread), and encountered no problems with downloading or after installation on my XP Home Edition.
