I upgraded from the AMEX Delta Gold Skymiles card to the DL Platinum Skymiles card in June 2003. I was supposed to get 5000 MQM(Medallion Qualification Miles) for upgrading. I received a letter from AMEX in September of 2003 that 5000 MQM miles were being sent over to DL--they never got there. At that point regular AMEX miles also stopped posting to my DL skymiles account. Now miles post sporadically, the numbers do not match any of the totals I see in my monthly AMEX statements. I spoke to an AMEX supervisor, and she couldn't figure out what is happening either. I have received at least 3 other letters from AMEX confirming that the 5000 MQM miles were sent; a second attempt was made in Janurary of 2004--nothing is appearing in my DL account. If I call AMEX, they send me to DL; if I call DL they send me to AMEX...
Back in 1999 I had a Corporate AMEX DL Platinum skymiles card and received 5000 MQM miles then--AMEX is aware of this, yet they still have promised me the 5000 MQM for my card upgrade in June of 2003.
Has anyone had similar problems with DL and AMEX?
