Travel Technology - BlackBerry Repair in NYC

Does anyone know where I can get my BlackBerry 7280 repaired in NYC? I dropped it last week and now there is a 1-pixel wide vertical line running down the screen. Not the end of the world but it's still driving me nuts. My provider here in Canada won't touch it since it's not a manufacturer defect. I'll be in NYC next week and I was hoping someone might know a place where I can get a new screen installed. I'll also be in LA over the next few weeks.

I would really like a 72-hr turnaround but I guess that might be asking too much... :p

You are probably going to have to send it in to RIM, I don't know of any "walk in" firms that do repairs of that magnitiude.

I believe RIM is like PalmOne - they don't authorize third parties to do repairs. Everything must be sent back:

There are a coiuple of companies that do out of warranty repairs on PDA's. Check out Get High Tech.com (http://www.gethightech.com) . Blackberry is not on the list of products that repair, but you've got nothing to lose by asking.
