I recently bought an external hard drive that runs in FAT32, I have been having some problems and read up on it on the net, the suggestion seems to be to make it NTFS. Are there any downsides to this? Anyone know?

MacOS X 10.3 can read NTFS formatted disks, with the following caveats; here is the KB article (http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=75320) from apple.com about it.
