American Express Membership Rewards - Special ideas to take advantage of Delta AE double ff?

Thinking about how to maximize the benefit of the AE Delta double miles promo: I was thinking about buying some supermarket gift cards, but in my area Albertson's and few other said they no longer accept credit cards for gift card purchases.

Any better or more creative ideas?

Maybe you like to first explain this Delta AE double mile promo to us, or is this the doble miles program that's been in effect for years? It seems like there is already a double miles promo for supermaket charges.

Sorry, I just saw Sergio's response: Delta Amex gives 2x the regular points on any purchase until 4/15/04. Need to register, but not targeted.

I know of AMEX Delta Skymiles & Amex Membership Rewards which are totally different. AE?

AMEX DL SM, which I just love, is getting particular with who is getting double or triple miles. Everything will be targeted via postcard or emailed special offers to folks that are registered to receive them. If you are NOT registered you will not get anything.

So unfortunately the posting of offers will not be good for everyone. Your account is coded for them.
