Welcome myself into FlyerTalk! Been a lurker for a while, thought I'd join finally.

Let me introduce myself. I am a 22 year old business entreprenuer who got the Centurion this past December, the day before my 22nd Birthday Anniversary ;)

I got the standard $2,500 fee, but I heard of others getting grandfathered into the old annual rate of $1,000.

Not really a big deal, but hey, every little bit helps. Would appreciate any info on how people did this. Did you simply just call them and ask, threaten to cancel or what?

I think this is only available to those who had the card before the fee hike, and thus isn't something you could still get...

I heard of instances of new customers getting the rate reduced though, just wanted to confirm how they did that.
