Hilton HHonors - New Gold - Hilton figures out I have 2 accounts

Through the Air Canada promotion, I signed up for a second HHonors account to obtain instant Gold. I recently came back from a lovely stay at the Hilton Sedona where I did recieve Gold benefits (free breakfast). The HHilton points never posted to my new Gold account, they went to my old account (no status), even though my receipt had the Gold number on it.

I can't say that I'm that crushed about the whole thing. I was trying to work the system, and Hilton figured it out. I figure I'm not the only one that was "tagged" on this.

Back to earning status the old fashioned way....

Through some error, Hilton had two HHonors accounts for me - I merely called and had them merged. Perhpas you can have them do the same in your case (into the Gold one, of course.) :cool:

Yes, you can merge them. I was able to merge mine on-line, keeping the Gold status. Sorry I don't remember how to get to it on th emenu- maybe you could do a search on the word "merge".

Just got back from coffee in the Executive Lounge at Cardiff, Wales- with windows overlooking the Castle. Wow. Thanks to the people who posted about the Instant Gold promotion!
