Hello,

I'm stuck with a POP3 server on my ISP, which I want to avoid, so I started looking for a reliable IMAP service and came upon Fastmail. It looks like it gets good reviews, and their premium service seems like a pretty good deal. My only concern that the hourly and monthly transfer quotas sound rather low, according to their site (http://www.fastmail.fm/pages/fastmail/docs/pricingtbl.html)

Anyone has experience with this service? Any comments or alternative suggestions would be recommended. My main criteria includes some SPAM protection, an IMAP server and no ads or popups. A secondary web interface would be a big plus too.

Thanks in advance.

Yes I use this and have found it to be very good. The company is based in Melbourne Australia with data storage being located in upstate New York.

I use a free account as my flyertalk email, and a paid account for other purposes. Note I use the eml.cc which is part of fastmail (when I joined about two years ago you could choose which fastmail domain you wanted).

I've found the data limits to be enough, but a high volume user might not be satisified - although you can buy blocks of extra data at a competitive price as you need them.

I've found the spam protection excellent.

Other views may vary - but I highly recommend them.

A belated thanks for your feedback, Chad. I believe it's still possible to pick your domain with the paid service. Looks like I'll be signing once my current account gets disabled.
