Although the US certainly has the largest distribution of AMEX cards, how many are issued in the UK and in what proportions (i.e. how many greens, gold, platinums and Centurions). It would be interesting to compare the ratios. Does anyone have any ideas?

Somewhere (probably on here) I read for every 1000 Golds there is 1 Platinum cardholder, for every 1000 Platinum cardholder there is 1 Centurion cardholder.
I am guessing this is b0110cks as that makes it that there is 1 Centurion card per million Gold cards and as there are 1200 primary cardholding Centurions in the UK (another factoid I read here) that makes it that there are 1,200,000,000 AmEx Gold cardholders in the UK :o

The old 1000:1 to one ratio may have been true in the past but now there the ratio between Gold and Platinum is a lot less - there are an awful lot of Platinum Cards out ther ein the UK now.
As for Centurion, there's around 15,000 accounts. With a total possible number of 45,000 actual black cards for the UK, as each account can have 3 black cards (two for the main account holder, and one for the primary supplementary cardholder).
Thanks,
Richard

I don't think this information is avail. to the general public. If you really need to know: hire a McKinsey CST, they will know ;-.)
