Cathay Pacific Asia Miles - CX Y KUL-HKG-LHR (vs SQ and MH?)
To CX frequent fliers,
What is the Cathay economy product like? (service, IFE, food, seating)
I'm considering it for the KUL-HKG-LHR sectors. I've flown MH and SQ to LHR so far. How do they compare?
Thanks!!

In my opinion, CX's Y class is a good product and if you belong to Asia Miles or any other oneworld alliance loyalty programme, then fly Cathay Pacific from KUL to LHR via HKG.
I've had good experiences on CX's Y Class - they have good selection of inflight entertainment channels - 20 channels on regional flights (A330 and B777 aircrafts) and 25 channels on long-haul flights (B747, A340 and 3-class A330 aircrafts).
In conclusion, I think you should give CX a try. You will not be dissappointed.

MH used to have 34 inch seat pitch, while CX and SQ have 32 inch (maybe 31 on some planes/rows). Not sure if MH still has this but the extra room combined with nonstop KUL-LHR service would seem to give MH the edge. I love CX dearly, but wouldn't suggest taking CX instead on this route (caveat, I have never flown CX in Y but have looked at the cabin, and the Y seats look cramped, as does SQ).

I would stick with MH instead of CX.
Only because that MH's seat pitch is wider (34") against 31" on CX or SQ.

Definitely go with MH. It is a non-stop flight, and MH also has PTV's in Y as well as good service. Most importantly is the 34" legroom. The legroom in CX Y is not too comfortable.
