Another good find in the land of Burger Kings and Applebee’s is the Polish Deli in Rockford, IL.
The Polish Deli offers an 8 item hot buffet from 11am-5pm.
Yesterday there were perogies, latkes, two types of sausages, stuffed cabbage, meatballs. Sometimes there are soups as well.
ALL of the food is homemade and darn good.
The buffet is $3.69 per lb and if you put one of each item in your container as I do, the bill is about $5.
Decent selection of deli items as well.
It is all takeout; there is no place to sit.
