My once a year trip to SYD is coming up in October. Any restaurants in SYD worth trying (or any classics not to miss?)

Rockpool.
Tetsuya's (if you get a good day, it is a bit ragged).
Everything else at the high end is better done outside of Sydney (my opinion). Lots of cheap lebanese and chinese on the low end which are worthwhile. And Harry's Cafe d'Wheels for the finest in mushy peas and chili (really exceptional chili, btw -- a serious recommendation as a place to eat as a must in Sydney even if you won't be able to spend $5 there).
