My mother will be taking a Southwest flight from LAS to PHX the same night as I will be flying from LAS back to EWR on CO. How far are the two trminals and is it possible to wait at a Southwest gate but flying CO (two hours after the WN flight departs)?
Since this doesn't seem a oft visited board, I'm also cross posting this on the CO board.
Thanks much! http://www.flyertalk.com/airports/ftairports_forum/smile.gif

Southwest flies out of the C gates (Southwest is the ONLY airline flying out of the C gates) ay McCarran.
Don't recall which (A or B--probably A if they still partner with America West) that Continental flies out of but you won't be able to get to a Southwest gate without a Southwest ticket in hand (and possibly a long wait in Security..)
To get to the terminal, you have to take a Tram (except if it's the A gates and then no tram needed)(and that's the only way to get to another terminal if coming from the C gates). I believe that when exiting the tram, the only option is to take the escalator down to the baggage claim area..

Continental flies out of the B gates. If you want to wait with your mother in C you will need a Southwest ticket. You will need to exit and re-enter security to get from C to B.

Life is precious. Time visiting your Mother is more precious. Purchase any full fare WN ticket for that time frame and visit her prior to her LAS departure. You won't regret it! WN will credit your full fare unused flight back to your credit card. It can all be transacted on www.iflyswa.com (http://www.iflyswa.com) .
