Asia - BKK Transfer Advice

hi

will be transiting Bangkok next month and need a bit of advice. I am travelling from MAN-IST-BKK with Turkish Airlines in Business Class connecting to BKK-HKG with Finnair, will i be able to check my luggage thru? if not and i have to collect my luggage in Bangkok and clear customs will I have to pay the Thai Departure Tax?

Any tips on the lounge Finnair use at BKK

Also any tips on the lounge Turkish airlines use at BKK for the return trip

BBJ - The way to fly

As long as THY and AY interline, you should be able to check bags through. Just let the THY agents at MAN know. At BKK, head for the transfer desk.

And if you do go through immigration, you do have to oay the THB 500 international departure tax.

I believe Ay use the QF lounge in BKK.

Please do post a trip report on the TK C class flights - have looked at them, but always end up coming back to EK...

Can you also let us know why you take this route?
We are able to give you easier suggestions to get to HKG.

I have used this route because i have some miles to use with Turkish Airlines before they expire and they get me to Bangkok. I want to do side trip to Hong Kong and www.flghts.com (http://www.flghts.com) gave me bext business class fare with Finnair
