California - Where to park at SJC
Hi,
I've never had to park at SJC and wanted to know where I can find cheap, reliable parking at the airport.
thanks
I've always used the long term parking lots. But it does take time for the shuttle van to come and pick you up and do the rounds.
Never had a problem myself but have heard that ppl have gotten their cars broken into.

How long will you be parked there? If it's less than 24 hours you can park free at the VTA Park & Ride lot and take the free shuttle to the airport. Some have reported they've parked there longer than 24 hours, but I'm not one to chance it. It's the Santa Clara Station that you would look for. http://www.vta.org/schedules/SC_10.html
The airport long-term parking is expensive - $15 a day. The off-site ones I've used are Park, Shuttle & Fly (408) 295-5300 at 735 Newhall Ave. between Highway 880 and Airport Blvd. and De La Cruz Parking Lot (408) 988-3403 - between Central Expressway and Martin Ave.
I far prefer De La Cruz. It's slightly cheaper (bring your AAA card to either as they'll give you a discount), but I'd pay more to park there over Park, Shuttle and Fly. The shuttles run more consistently, the employees are far better and to my knowledge they haven't had the break-ins the other lot as had.
thanks,
I'll try the De LA Cruz, as I'll be gone for the weekend and $15 is a little high IMO.

I'm with letiole. I always park at DeLaCruz and have been very happy with their lot and shuttles. Very easy access off 101.

Stay away from the "onsite" airport lots. They are very far AND the shuttle just goes through the alphabet of stops AND you get to pay $15 for the tour.

I park at Park, Shuttle, and Fly just off I-880 on Newhall near Coleman.
I have some discount coupons. If you would like some, send me an email.

I also usually park at Park Shuttle and Fly at Coleman & Newhall. Don't forget your AAA card for a discount. They have indoor parking which is ~$11 per day with AAA discount.

I used to park at Park, Shuttle and Fly, but went over to DeLaCruz for two reasons: 1)returned from an overnight trip to find several car burglaries in their lot, and, 2)the DeLaCruz shuttles sure seemed to run more frequently, as even two of them would be by while I was waiting for the first one from PS&F. The DeLaCruz lot looks a little more secure (no hidden back lots, or around buildings, like Park, Shuttle and Fly).
