It used to be at Thrifty Parking (are they still in business?-it always seemed a marginal operation).
Where is the lowest daily rate now?

California - Cheapest parking at SFO?View Full Version : Cheapest parking at SFO? Duckman Aug 14, 02, 7:39 pm It used to be at Thrifty Parking (are they still in business?-it always seemed a marginal operation). Where is the lowest daily rate now? Eastbay1K Aug 14, 02, 10:53 pm Park SFO seems to be (with lots of coupon promos) but they fail to honor the airline miles they "give out" and fail to reply to inquiries (going on since the spring). I emailed KRON Contact 4, who also failed to reply to my consumer complaint, and emailed Alaska Airlines to let them know that someone offering their miles as a promo won't honor it, and Alaska failed to reply, too. These have all been polite inquiries and complaints. And yes, my email is working (I have received autoresponds from both Park SFO emails, KRON, and Alaska emails). So, I don't know if I will be parking there again. I refuse to park at PCA (who sends out frequent coupons), where my car was trashed once inside when I had to double park/leave my keys. They didn't care, and reluctantly handed me a paper to fill out, to which there was no reply. As there was no permanent damage, I didn't follow up, just didn't park there again. (A radio station I never listen to was blaring at top volume when I started the car and cds were thrown all about the car. The attendant had the nerve to ask me if the station was spanish in a tone that he was hoping that his spanish speaking employees were doing naughty acts. He was disappointed when I told him no.) After all that, and that I like to park on the north side, I use Park'n'Fly, where I pay a bit more, but I end up filling over 1 punch card per year (good for a free week parking) and my car is safe and the lot is safe and the vans are decent and there has never been a problem, ever. (Well, sometimes I have to wait 10 mins or more for a van, but not often.) bobes Sep 12, 02, 4:32 pm I just used Anza Park and Fly (or sth like that) got a coupon from the web for $8 a day. Nice and convenient, the shuttle van picks you up immediately (it actually followed us) from our car. The only caveat is that there is no covered parking. Duckman Sep 15, 02, 1:21 pm Thrifty parking is indeed now dead-just got a mailing from them suggesting I transfer my business to Park SFO. I found a good deal for PCA via Orbitz: book your hotel thru Orbitz, get 2 free days at PCA. |
