Australia, New Zealand & the South Pacific - New Qantas lounge

Cheers. I saw the new Qantas lounges at Melbourne. Did Sydney-international get new lounges? I hope they are nicer as the older Sydney Qantas lounges were too dark.

Not recently.

The last updates were a few years ago, but I doubt if anyone would call the new Qantas Club "too dark". I suspect therefore that they have indeed been updated since you were last there.

Personally I love the SYD INT QP, but I have heard it described as "too sterile".

The only thing I don't like about it is the drinks selection (as opposed to what you get on the other side of the airport) - "Tooheys New" and "VB" on tap at INT, Hahn Premium or Crown at DOM. :(

Unfortunately when in NSW you have to drink crap beer because Fourex isn't readily available.

Good to see that thadocta and dannyr have managed to bring this thread on-topic. Not being a beer drinker, I prefer the INT QP to the DOM because I can pour my own spirits (in mixed drinks) to an adequate strength. There's a reason why it's called "Gin and Tonic" rather than "Tonic and Gin".
