California - Check in times at LAX ( and LAS?)

I'm flying from LAX to Las Vegas on a 20:00 Saturday flight. Can anyone recommend how long I should allow for check-in etc with current security measures? I have a standard AA coach ticket but hope to use electronic upgrades, and do have baggage to check in.

Also, the same info for Vegas (flying Southwest to Oakland on a Thursday morning at 12:30 PM)

Finally, will 4 hours be plenty for transfer two weeks after, again on a Saturday- arriving Southwest from OAK at 16:40, leaving BA at 20:45?

Generally departing LAX on a Saturday night is very quiet. I'd say arrive 90 minutes early at the AA terminal to be safe (although I suspect it will take you much less time to complete).

Are you talking about arriving at LAX two weeks later? If so, 4 hours should be sufficient. You will have to collect your lugagge and change terminals but the walk from Terminal 1 (I think thats Southwest's terminal) to the Bradley Int'l terminal is only a few hundred yards. Really you can reach any terminal at LAX from another in a few minutes (except that awful remote mini-terminal that American Eagle uses but thats another subject entirely).
