GLBT Travelers - New Orleans It Is
MapleLeaf

It would appear we sort of have consensus on New Orleans as our destination. Now all we need is a date.
My preference is late March as Jan / Feb already have 5 trips planned.
I am thinking the weekend of March 22 or March 29.
Thoughts, suggestions? When we have some agreement, I will post over on the main board and then start figuring out logistics.

Those weekends are good for me at this point for NOLA.
The weekend of March 29 would be best for me.
Thanks!

Hey Gang,
I will have to pass on this.
I will be in New Orleans the following weekend for the Men's NCAA Final Four Basketball tournament.
Can't justify going two weeks in a row.
Have fun!

Years ago, I bought a cheap one in the PHL area at Today's Man - not sure if they're still around.
Chris and I could make it either weekend. We're seeing better fares the weekend of 3/29 but of course that could change any time.

David, now that Chris has met (at least) one FlyerTalker you have convinced him to attend a FT Gayla. (Hey, I think I just made up that word...can we call our gathering a Gayla rather than a Do?)
I'll be checking fares after the New Year...I have no idea what 2003 will bring.

I'd tuck a dollar in your toolbelt if I could!

Is this still on for New Orleans?
The reason I asked is that I just noticed a late January Do already scheduled for New Orleans... I had forgotten about that one as I was not available that weekend.
Do we want two Do's in the same city so close together?
Just wondering.
We should also get this posted in the general community soon so people can begin making arrangements.

We can combine the trips if we like. Late Jan sucks for me but if that is what the majority prefer, then make the 2 DO's into 1.

Or do it somewhere else... http://www.flyertalk.com/travel/fttravel_forum/smile.gif
Mapleleaf, I was just concerned that turnout might be lower since so many will have just been there two months earlier.

I'll be in New Orleans the weekend of January 31st through Feb. 2nd. Unforunately, this (at least some of the time) will be business so my dates are pretty inflexible. BackoftheBus, can I talk you into going? http://www.flyertalk.com/travel/fttravel_forum/smile.gif

Comicwoman: Wasn't "Gayla" a song by Derek and the Dominos?
