Has anyone been to Isle Royale National Park in Lake Superior? Experiences?

I believe you can only get to the island from the UP of Michigan via ferry.

I have been there about 6 times. You can get the ferry from the UP and Minnesota. It is a great place in the late fall (when the lwaves are dropping and changes). On the Island are very nice hiking paths, a couple of packs of wolves and various other wildlife. In the late spring and summer the bugs are great so you will need lots of repellant.
