Online Travel Booking and Bidding Agencies - Question About Priceline Hotels in a Given Zone

I haven't used Priceline much in the last few years but I seem to remember a feature where you could learn what level of hotels were offered in a given zone. Now I can't find it. Does anyone know if this feature is still there and how to find it?

For example, say for London, how does one learn whether there are 4* hotels in the London Bridge zone. Thanks! It's not enough to simply check a hotel bidding site for hotel lists because they only show hotels that have been won and that information is not complete.

There is no special function to find out what level hotels are offered in a specific zone.
The best way to find out is to just start a bid for the city you are interested in (e.g. London), select ONE zone and proceed as if you were going to do a bid. On the next screen you are asked to select a star level. The screen will only show selectable star levels that are actually available in that zone, so if the zone only has 2* and 3* it will only show you these.
Write down the zone name and star levels available.
Use your back button of your Internet browser and repeat the previous steps for another zone (unselect the previous zone). Repeat for all zones (one by one).

This is the only reliable way I know to find out what level hotels are offered in the zones. Hotels leave and join Priceline frequently, so any list publicized on other sites are prone to be out of date.

Just read and understand the rules before you post any questions there....

Second that on www.biddingfortravel.com (http://www.biddingfortravel.com) Although they can be pretty strict on what you post (must be in a certain format), they do frequently update their hotel zone lists from widding bids posted by users.

Great resource. Can't bid on Priceline without it!

Just a note thought that you shouldn't take the hotel list on biddingfortravel as the last word. It's not necessarily or always 100% accurate.

Another site called www.betterbidding.com (http://www.betterbidding.com) has also come up. I usually check the 2nd one also.

betterbidding.com - unlike the previously-mentioned site - also discusses and assists with Hotwire bids.

It can often be quite informative to compare the "discerned offerings" (educated guesses) in a given city or area on PL vs HW
