Online Travel Booking and Bidding Agencies - Orbitz no longer offering weekend web fares

Orbitz have redesigned their website last weekend, and now the option to view web fares for the coming weekends is no longer found under the Deals tab. I called to inquire and was told they no longer offer these web fares.

It was very convenient to see multiple airlines' web fares in one place, but I guess that just like me, everybody was still booking those on the airlines' websites (why pay Orbitz' service fee?) so there was no business justification for Orbitz to provide the service.

By web fares I'm referring to the weekend deals that were good for departures on Saturday and returns on Monday and Tuesday.

I believe both smarterliving.com and webflyer.com still offer these lists (I use the former, don't know about the latter )

Although Orbitz isn't breaking the weekend fares out any more, it still offers them. Orbitz's Flex Search (Option 1: Weekends) can be used to see the upcoming weekend rates between two cities, whether or not their is a last-minute fare.

One caveat: Orbitz has most but not all airlines Internet fares.

Granted, though Orbitz doesn't work w/ every major airline...they work with the good majority of them. I think I read somewhere that they have the capacity to search something like $400 different airlines...

I also like thier new look...it's easier to navagate and I like how you can see all of the carriers at once.

TravelZoo (http://www.travelzoo.com) still has a NetFares section, but I am not sure how comprehensive it is. Still, it does include multiple cities/airlines.

Edited to correct URL.
