Priceline now offers a Best Price Guarantee on Rental Cars. The biggest caveat is that the better price must be available to the general public and without coupons. When the was the last time anyone here booked a car rental without using a coupon code?

No kidding - Priceline has written their guarantee in such a way that they will never have to honor it.

I have done a lot of rental car bidding on Priceline. 80% of the time, Priceline cannot save me money vs. the best available deal I can put together at the rental sites with the various available codes. 20% of the time Priceline does save me money: these are typically cases where I absolutely need a van or SUV and don't want to gamble with the upgrade game.
