2 Priceline sites are coming to Asia.
Priceline H.K. has opened up at www.priceline.com.hk (http://www.priceline.com.hk)
Singapore site (http://www.priceline.com.sg/eng/pre_launch/default.asp) promises to be coming soon.

I just looked at Tokyo, and the only star ratings are 1* and 2*. Are they dealing with the hotel categories differently here? I was expecting to see at least 3* and 4* in the airport and central zones.

I looked into HKG and there are hotels ranging from 1* - 5*, but not in all areas. So it appears that they are using the same rating system. I suspect the newess of PL in Asia is the reason you haven't found more upper-end hotels in Tokyo. Perhaps more hotels will be added over time. I just wish there were some database of succesful bids.

I used Priceline Hong Kong to get some good rates in Thailand:
1.JW Marriott Bangkok US$55 + tax & service
2.JW Marriott Phuket US$43 + tax & service

It would be appreciated if other successful bidders could report their results here, as there isn't much of a database of affiliated hotels for Asia.
Apparently Marriott is, as in Europe, one of the first participants. I suppose stays at Priceline rates don't qualify for their 'Get 2 free weekend nights' promotion?

I had a bid accepted for Hong Kong. See my report here (http://pub34.ezboard.com/fpricelineasiadiscussionsfrm20.showMessage?topicID =3.topic).

I see TW1 found the Priceline Asia discussion board. Here's the link:

I need to book a hotel room in Hyannis MA for tomorrow night. I want to try Priceline, for the first time. How do Canadians get around the address problem?

Well, you could use priceline.com.hk to bid for your hotel. Canadian users are welcome to bid at that site. If it were me though, I'd use priceline.co.uk as there is a GBP10 bonus money offer available. For the address and phone number field, just use the address and phone number of your favourite airline's UK office or make up an address and format it to UK standards.

I had trouble registering for EZboard so I'm posting the results of my BKK hotel request for next week here:
6-12 to 6-14
JC Marriott
$400HK/night ++
I regret not starting out lower because this was my first offer.
Has anyone made bids for a hotel in Beijing using the HK page?

This is wonderful! I'm guessing we can get the Peninsula in BKK through Priceline Asia!

Are there any other boards showing priceline wins for asia then betterbidding or biddingfortravel?
Both do not show many wins...
Thank you!

Fewer people travel to Asia than within the US or to Europe. And I recently won a hotel in Tokyo that I haven't posted on betterbidding.com yet. I am sure others have too.
