Online Travel Booking and Bidding Agencies - Bestfares or Expedia/Orbitz

I joined Bestfares about 2 months ago and for about 10 different itineraries, the price I got from them was the same or worse than Expedia, Orbitz or even cheaptickets. Is there some secret about getting the lowest "member only" fares from Bestfares or have I just wasted $60 annual fees?

You've probably wasted $60. There have been a lot of posts about Bestfares. It is very rare that anything they have isn't available somewhere else, and just as you found, they typically don't have the best deals. Also, their customer service has received very poor feedback.

I enrolled but every attempt made to get the lowest fares was unsucessful. Fares were "sold out" or unavailable (blacked out) I cancelled membership and got money back as per their guarantee http://www.flyertalk.com/travel/fttravel_forum/smile.gif

Ask for your money back. I did and got it back too.
