Online Travel Booking and Bidding Agencies - is priceline down?

I placed a hotel bid last night (now 22 hours ago). No reply, so I called and punched in my priceline confirm #. I supposedly won the bid, but no email from Priceline.
Has this happened to anyone before? Ideas?

Use the help function at their site to send them a note and ask.
I don't know who they use for their service, but their HQ is only a mile down the street, and my connection was down all afternoon. If they are using the same provider (it's the local telephone company, so they have to be using it for part of the journey, but they must have a backup) then yes, they may have been down.

Yup, did that -- my impatient bone was twitching; had to do something else, so I posted here . . . thanks, cordelli!

I always use the web page to enter my request number and my email address to find out if my bid is accepted. If so, you can just print out that page, regardless of whether you received an email.

This was exactly their recommendation. Got it handled, thanks Watchful & cordelli!

I used priceline on a number of occassions but realized after looking at orbitz and a couple of the other services that I was not saving any money--in fact, I was enduring a lot of hastle for nothing. Orbitz has the lowest fares that I've found and I've always had really good service. Online travel doesn't have to be difficult.

If you're not saving any money on priceline.com, you only have yourself to blame! Have you considered reducing your bid amounts and researching fares/rates before bidding?

TransWorldOne has a good point. But I can understand RetireNTravel's comment. I have found that with little or no Priceline bonus money, Priceline is unable to beat Southwest's fares. Also if there is a low-fare non-stop available I will not risk getting a non-direct routing just to save $20.
TransWorldOne, did you get your status on TWA while living in Arizona? Since even in its hayday TWA only had like eight flights a day from Sky Harbor, I would think it would be very hard to get TWA status here. :-)
