After several low cost successful car rentals via priceline, I just ran into the first problem. With Priceline you prepay your rental when they approve the price. Last weekend after I returned the car Budget also charged for the rental, on the card you put the deposit down when you pick up the car.
Priceline says they are looking into it, that it takes a week or so to resolve, Budget has not yet responded, but Priceline has indicated it's a common thing, and that Budget will just say to contact Priceline.
So, if you are prepaying your hotel or car or whatever, make sure to check your credit card statement to make sure you are not being billed again, and save a copy of all the documents until you are sure it's not on the next statement.
The amount was the same as the priceline rate, just minus their $5.95 fee.
It's a great deal when it's 30 or 40% off the price, it's a lousy deal with you have to pay it twice.
