Does anyone know anything about the Indian Wells Resort Hotel?

I Pricelined it for 5 days in early March, but I know nothing about it. After looking at the ezboard fourm, I was expecting to get one of the two Marriott properties in Ranch Mirage or the Renaissance, but we got this instead. I hadn't heard of it before.

Any thoughts?

I think you did well.

On my motorcycle trip through Joshua tree, Palm Springs, Death Valley last year, I stopped at many resorts to see how they were.

This one looked very nice. great pool.

Obviously did not see the rooms.

I had a PL rate at the Miramonte for under $90 if I remember correctly.

I think I heard it closed down recently - the Indian Wells Resort, not the other.

I just got back from the Renaissance Esmeralda ($60 through PL). It's right across the street from the Indian Wells Resort. The IW Resort looked okay from the outside. I didn't go around the property so I can't tell you much. I did like the location though. Easy to drive around. I didn't want to come back to Anchorage!

That was actually last year! It was quite good, except it was sold out for the first two nights (Fri & Sat)because of the big tennis tourney, so we were put in a rather poor room, above the (kitchen? - loud) We asked to be moved to a better room Sunday PM, and no problem. Rooms were not too bad. I'd say it was worth it. Pretty nice place; sorta "European style" & on a nice golf course.
