California - Whale watching in San Diego

Where would be the best place to find a whale watching cruise?

You are getting to the end of the southern migration period, not sure when you plan on being in town. Its getting slower by the day. Lets face it the whales want to be in Mexico! Fishermans Landing or H&M Landing will be your best bets. they use the sportfishing boats that are slow this time of year for the whalewatching. They could also set you up in a nicer boat if you want to part with $$. Be advised Gray whales usually just surface and spout and chug along out of sight. If you are used to humpbacks in HI putting on a show you will be dissapointed. My .02 The bay is beautifull no matter what so get out on the water and have fun.
