DISNEYLAND / MICKEY MUST BE IN LINE FOR A RAISE.
The Happiest Place on Earth just got a little more expensive. Disneyland and Disney's California Adventure are raising their entrance fees from $45 to $47 for visitors 10 and over; for younger visitors, the price goes up from $35 to $37. A separate entrance fee is charged at each park, but guests can buy three- and four-day passes that allow them wander back and forth between the two.
In other Disney news, the Walt Disney Co. has phased out the Disney Club, which offered discounts on merchandise, park admissions and packages at Disneyland and Walt Disney World. Replacing it is a Disney Visa card. Holders of the new card will accumulate points, based on credit-card purchases, that can be redeemed at Disney stores and theme parks in the United States. The company is not planning to charge an annual fee for the card, a Disney spokesman said.
Disney's California Adventure has two new attractions. A Bug's World, a children's play area based on the movie "A Bug's Life," opened in October; a live stage show based on the film "Aladdin" opens this week. .
