Redhead Jul 5, 03, 11:40 am Don't buy Euros at any exchange place or ahead of time - just get them from an ATM machine in the airport when you land. You will avoid exchange fees and generally get the best rate. Just make sure your bank doesn't charge outrageous fees for foreign ATMs. This way you can get out only what you need for each day and avoid carrying too much cash. Make sure you know your ATM by the numbers and not letter since many European ATMs don't have letters on the keys ------------------ http://www.benjaminwagner.com Great music! EricH Jul 5, 03, 5:02 pm Redhead's right. Your bank will probably charge you the usual fee for using another US bank's ATM and I haven't found any European banks that charge fees for cards from other banks. One other thing to keep in mind is to make sure that your PIN is four digits. rdrmec Jul 6, 03, 3:57 am Thanks. stimpy Jul 6, 03, 1:09 pm Originally posted by EricH: One other thing to keep in mind is to make sure that your PIN is four digits. 5 digits is fine.
