Asia - Day Transit Hotel in Narita Airport

Hi,

I will be arriving in Narita Airport T2 at around 7am and have a friend who will arrive at same airport terminal at 12.30pm on the same day.

I do not have any check-in luggage. Upon arrival, can I book a room at the transit hotel for 5 hours and then meet my friend at Immigration Counter to proceed with immigration formalities? The transit hotel which I am referring to is at:

My friend is on his first trip to Tokyo and I would prefer to meet him at Immigration counter so that I can assist him if there are any issues. Also, given the long wait, a short nap will be good. I will not be able to use the lounge since I do not have any outward ticket.

Sorry you won't be able to do this (at least at Terminal 2) because the transit hotel is located in the secure departure area which is separated from the immigration arrivals area

You will need an onward boarding pass to enter the secure area.

Besides, with Terminal 2 at least, the rooms will most probably be full by 7am. There are at least a few flights that arrive at 6am-ish. I've only be able to snag a room twice (out of perhaps 15-20 flts) in the past when I've flown SIN-NRT or BKK-NRT.
