Let's say I needed to keep in contact w/ my company and print out documents from time to time. I mean total reliability 24/7/365. Where should I go in Asia w/ the lowest Cost of Living? I was thinking Bangkok. Anybody know if the internet cafes have printers?

Total reliability is a tough requirement, not so much for Internet connectivity as for power -- which is regularly interrupted in Bangkok (usually but not always with advance warning). And if you really want the lowest cost of living you might want to consider Cambodia, Vietnam or Indonesia... not that the power supply is any more reliable in those places, mind you.
My two cents would be that I've never had a problem logging onto Flyertalk from Singapore http://www.flyertalk.com/travel/fttravel_forum/biggrin.gif

I don't see a big deal. Don't worry. You can get internet anywhere in Asia, and a printer is easy to find. Just bring a laptop and get an internet account in the country. In Bangkok I buy A-Net 1 month unlimited for 300B ($7.50).
Bangkok is great. You can get a good standard of living.

Malaysia can offer a good standard of living at a very resonable price. Kuala Lumpur, Penang are great spots.
Cambodia would offer a pretty low standard of living with inconsistant internet. Great for passing through.

I can't comment on cheap places in Asia because wherever I go, I seem to end up spending bushels (well, except for Philippines, but the political situation makes that a bad choice for you). However, I'm very good at staying online 24/7. My number one piece of advice is to invest in a GSM GPRS modem and research the rate plans in your prospective countries. I paid ~$200 for my modem and another $15/month for unlimited access within China and it's fantastic (only about 2x as fast as a dial-up though), even works on trains, buses, etc. I'm guessing other Asian countries have similar rate plans. It's also good to have a Wifi card of course.

You need to be a bit more specific about your requirements.
Broadband and printers are very common in Asia.
If you are looking for a country where English is widely spoken, people are computer literate and accomodation is western standard and cheap, then you have a more narrow search. My benchmark is to look at countries where foreigners drive by themselves.
Look at all of Malaysia (Pen. East coast is great living and even cheaper), secondary cities in the Philippines (Manila is overpriced) and Thailand.
