Asia - Hotel in Taipei

Can someone recommend a great hotel in Taipei? I am heading there this weekend (Aug 10) to goof off and attend a wedding at the Hyatt. Location is not so important, looking for a hotel in the $100-200 range that will be nice to hang out at. Anyone know of any good deals going on now or hotels not to be missed?

My personal favorite hotel in Taipei is
Le Petit Sherwood. It is the sister hotel
of Sherwood Taipei(a much larger hotel)

I have stayed at every major hotel in Taipei
and Le Petit Sherwood is the best. Total
nights stayed in the last 3 years: 57 nights.

It is operated like one of those boutique
hotels in Beverly Hills, or the "W" Hotels.
The service is extremely personal and friendly. You feel like you're home when you go back into your room. The room service is superb, better than some 5 star restaurants in Manhatten.

Each room is tastefully decorated and the marble bathroom is wonderful. All have CD/radio, and they even leave several CDs for you to listen to.

The elevators only operate when you insert your room key. This is very important for the safety of the guests.
