Hi, I have choosen Air New Zealand for my flight to Tahiti. As my hotel is located on Moorea and the arrival time is in the middle of the night, I just wondered if there is any chance to get a night transfer by plane or boat (or whatever ;-) to Moorea. I know that shuttle flights exist for Air Tahiti Nui flights...

Arrivel time is: 02h25m a.m.

If such a transfer does not exists: What's the best and most reasonable way to spent the time until the first regular transfer at 06h15m a.m.?

You probably will not come out of the sliding doors until about 3:30 or so after clearing customs and getting your luggage.

Papeete is a very very small airport and 'open' in design (ie. when you clear customs and come out the doors, you are literally outside). Here is a small website with diagrams and pix:

I would just go to the cafe (where it says 'bar') and order a caffe creme and some sort of pastry and sit there, or you can walk to the grass and sit down there. The airport will be abuzz then anyway and you will definately not be alone. There is also a restaurant upstairs (but Im not sure of the operating hours).

on the map, the Air Moorea terminal is not shown there, it is located much further away about a 5 minute walk past where it says 'international flights' so if you have luggage, take your cart with you (I wouldn't head there until close to departure as there is not much there and is definately 'away' from the main terminal area). Where it says "Inner Flights" that is Air Tahiti (which you probably will not be taking unless going to an outer island).

Thank you for the reply!

The travel agent told me that the airport would be closed after arrival. But if the cafe has opened this would be nice.
