Australia, New Zealand & the South Pacific - hotel deals in Perth?View Full Version : hotel deals in Perth? pez Feb 1, 03, 12:55 am I'm gonna be going to Perth on February 5th. See my trip report, done for March in April or May 2002 for more info. There are a lot of web sites with lodging details if you use you search engine. "Perth Australia lodging" or the like. Great place. Hope you get the opportunity to get around. It is vast so you will have to weigh your options. My trip report and one from a couple of years ago, cover about 19 days in Perth and the places we went, transportation, costs, motels, etc. Not too much detail on dining. NM Feb 2, 03, 6:39 pm Depending on where you need/want to be in Perth, you may like to consider Drake Apartments (http://www.drakesapartments.com.au/content-home.asp). It is some years since I used these, but it was a great deal back then. Mr Drake came and collected us from the airport (saved cab fare), took us to the 2 bedroom furnished appartment in South Perth, and left us with the car for 2 weeks. Then at the end of the stay collected us from the appartment and delivered us back to the hotel. The rate was unbeatable at the time, especially when you consider the car was included (a brand new Hyundai Excel at the time, he had collected it from the dealer and went straight to the airport to collect us). The appartment was clean and fully equipped (TV, video, kitchen, sheets, towels etc). willyroo Feb 2, 03, 9:35 pm Check the Wotif (http://www.wotif.com.au) site for discount accommodation. Stayed recently at the Crowne Plaza Perth (http://www.sixcontinentshotels.com/h/d/CP/hd/purtr) for A$76. Fremantle also has excellent accommodation, and it's very handy to Perth either by car or public transport. susieQ Feb 5, 03, 9:36 am Sorry I missed this posting. Big party Feb 1st and just recovering http://www.flyertalk.com/travel/fttravel_forum/wink.gif By now you have arrived in Perth, and are probably near the train station, or somewhere in the Northbridge area. If you need any help please email me. http://www.flyertalk.com/travel/fttravel_forum/thumbsup.gif edited to turn thumb up! If you are working in the business district, this hotel is also very central. http://www.au.lastminute.com/lmn/pso/catalog/Product.jhtml?CATID=785&PRODID=327548160&POSITION=0 is there any particular location/things you'd like to do? and we could perhaps assist in locating a good priced hotel close to what you want, i know the hotels and areas in perth quite well.
