There are threads that exist for Women Travelers, GLBT Travelers, and Traveling with Children, but none for College Students.

College students frequently fly during breaks, holidays, spring breaks, and when flying internationally for semesters abroad.

This could further unify FTers and perhaps even spur FT events among college students.

I don't know how many other college students there are on FT, but its an idea.

Are there really that many topics that deal solely with Traveling College Students that it necessitates its own Forum? http://www.flyertalk.com/travel/fttravel_forum/confused.gif

I did notice more and more college students asking questions on FT. Usually, their posts tend to rapidly 'sink' in for instance TravelBuzz, having elicited few responses.

Such a forum could be useful to share info on student specials which average FTers ignore as irrelevant to them, or topics which a number of FTers do not want to associate with, e.g. party scenes and all.

Conversely, the average student, not being a very experienced traveller, may miss out on some useful tips by staying in a forum most FT'ers would not visit.

I would think that a Student Travel forum would get more activity than Destinations:Antarctica http://www.flyertalk.com/travel/fttravel_forum/smile.gif

I would expect topics about Spring Break tours and packages, airline special FF programs (yes, overlaps with the airlines, but not in an illogical way), and perhaps even semester abroad discussions.

It seems like a reasonable forum.
