Just to bring back some Ansett relevance to the Ansett forum, today is the second anniversary of the Ansett collapse.
Friday 14th September 2001.
How many of our former Ansett forum frequenters are still around today?

Me too, or is that me two?
One can only dream that one day those Ansett points will be of value.
Of course, I'm an optimist and still hoping to find England v South Africa Rugby tickets http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/wink.gif
Two years later, still missing Ansett. Ordered some coffee mugs and other supplies from the company that closed them out.. I still start my day with coffee in an Ansett mug.
What a hash aviation in Oz has become since their demise.
My lifetime Golden Wing Membership card lies in my drawer collecting more and more dust....I know I should toss it into the bin, but I can't bring myself to do so... http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/frown.gif

In the States, the shutdown was utterly overshadowed by 9/11. It got virtually no press coverage at all, which was a shame.
Mispost deleted.
