Ansett Leasing was a separate business and had a different ownership compared to Ansett Airlines (r.i.p) for several years.

Wasn't this the same company, AWOPS, that operated flights for QF after the demise on Ansett?

For a long time it traded under the acronym AWAS.
Was rather ironic that in the Indonesian/Malay languages awas means 'danger' or 'be careful'.
Signs bearing that word are erected alongside dangerous sections of the highway!
