Deadline extended for Ansett creditors to lodge proxy votes
The deadline has been extended for Ansett creditors to lodge
proxy votes for Tuesday's creditors meeting in Melbourne.
Ansett's administrators have extended the deadline to
10:00am (AEDT) on the day of the meeting.
Administrator Mark Mentha says this will allow as many as
possible of the airline's 3 million creditors to make their
wishes known.
Two extra fax lines have also been set up to cope with the
number of replies coming in.
Mr Mentha says the complexity of the administration and the
sheer numbers involved make it necessary for
administrators to be as flexible as possible in the lead up to
the creditors vote on Tuesday.
