Ansett Frequent Fliers May Have Points Honored Under New Deal
MELBOURNE, Jan 2 Asia Pulse - Ansett frequent fliers who remained loyal to the airline would have their lost flying points honored, under a deal being negotiated with administrators.
A spokesman for Ansett administrators, Andersen, said a number of plans were being discussed with Solomon Lew and Lindsay Fox, principals of the Tesna bid which is expected to take over Ansett's operations on February 1.
The plans aimed to win back Ansett's 2.6 million frequent flying customers whose points added up to about A$1 billion (US$508.5 million) of flying miles, the spokesman said.
"Clearly we have to establish the loyalty factor to get them back," he said.
