America West FlightFund (Discontinued Program) - What will be the HP response to the PHL fare war?

Southwest anounced its new fares in the PHL
transcon market starting in May. US took 10 Hours to match. Still no response from HP.
This is just as much an assult on HP as it is to US as SW has nonstops to PHX and LAS
and and the same prices to connecting cities.
I'd hate to give up my HP platinum allegience
earned last year as a US CP plan B.

It's not an assault on HP since it involves only one route(PHL-PHX). It affects US more due to their hub in PHL.

PHL-LAS doesn't affect HP?

Ok two routes. I still wouldn't consider that an assault. Now if WN decided they were going to double their operations in PHX or LAS then we can start using the "a" word.

I'd pay double to avoid sitting an WN flight. After watching Airline, and seeing the rude and obnoxious FA's, I'd take US any day.

And PHL fares aren't that outrageous, to begin with. Over in the US board, most agree that the people that bring US the least amount of profits will be the ones to switch to WN, the higher and full fare customers will stick with US.

One last thing . . . aren't HP fares that low anyway? A month ago, I was able to find fares from major east coast cities to PHX and LAS, including connections to cities like RNO. Since HP already offers low fares, they really shouldn't be concerned.

I never said I would fly WN on that long of a flight. I just want low fares resulting from the price war.
