America West FlightFund (Discontinued Program) - Saturday ( Easter) departing at LAS- How will it be?

Hi,

Living in the UK ( and not having been to LAS for almost 9 months- i feel the urge to make a visit back at Easter)

I'm planning on flying in from SFO on Wednesday and flying back to SFO on Saturday.

My question is: How bad are the queues likely to be with HP on Saturday morning( just prior to Easter Sunday.

I have heard that Sunday is the busiest day ( and that after a CES? convention in January people were there for over three hours and still missed their flights- I think this mainly affected United) but is Saturday equally as bad or relatively quiet

I would plan on arriving at the counters 2 hours prior to departure (at around 9am for the 11 am approx flight). Would this be sufficient?

PS my VS flight will not leave until Sunday so no worries there.

( I saw Thehotel @ Mandalay Bay offer rooms on Wed/Thrs for $169- not bad)

Sorry, TBC, couldn't resist. It just struck me funny.

Easter weekend Saturday AM should be a breeze at LAS.

The problem at LAS is not with checking in at HP, but with getting through security. These lines are often very, very long and I have almost missed flights despite checking in more than an hour before the flight. I agree that Saturday before Easter should be fairly quiet, but if any security alerts are given on that day, be prepared for long lines.

There should be no problem at all Saturday of a holiday weekend.
