America West FlightFund (Discontinued Program) - Sydney, Australia ?

I received a promo from Hawaiian Airlines concerning a start-up from HNL to Sydney.

Do you see a possibility of award travel to Sydney with a stopover in HNL, or is that just dreaming? Presently, the HP award chart does not show any Hawaiian award travel past HNL even though Hawaiian travels to Samoa and Tahiti. And it does say that all award travel on Hawaiian must originate in the contiguous 48. But there is at least an opportunity for HP to enhance the program.

That's the first thing I thought when I first heard mention of HA's route to SYD.

Im sure that HP would jump on a PHX-SYD codeshare from day one. Award flights might take a little longer to negociate, but I would expect to see a codeshare from the beginning.

Anyone feel like calling HP to confirm?
