The seats are roomier. As for inflight service, it is minimal no matter which way you go. Y is normally 2-2 (I'm from the east coast and almost am never on an RJ), correct? So is F 1-1? IMStill4Travel Feb 2, 04, 11:44 pm No...F = 1-2...there are 2 rows of this totaling 6 seats. The seats are leather and much nicer than coach on the RJ...but smaller than regular F seats width-wise. The pitch is about the same as F on the 737. In summary...It makes the RJ bearable. I still avoid them...but I had a last minute flight to visit a sick friend and flew SAN-PHX-GDL. PHX-GDL is operated by Freedom Air...they have the F seats on the RJ's. Mesa may have some...I don't know. BTW- What does being from the East Coast and never being on an RJ have in common? I am from the West Coast and am hardly ever on RJ's. There are many RJ's on the East Coast. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif [This message has been edited by IMStill4Travel (edited Feb 02, 2004).] TransWorldOne Feb 3, 04, 1:33 am Originally posted by ByrdluvsAWACO: Roomier pitch or width? Width. I think the pitch is about the same. Also, roomier lavs on mainline aircraft (if that makes a difference). http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/redface.gif RASMguy Feb 3, 04, 1:34 pm Originally posted by IMStill4Travel: No... IMStill4Travel Feb 3, 04, 7:20 pm OK..then I guess Mesa does have F seats on RJ's... http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/wink.gif GotCalcio4 Feb 4, 04, 3:50 pm Originally posted by IMStill4Travel: [B] BTW- What does being from the East Coast and never being on an RJ have in common? Anyways: well I MEANT that I am never on a RJ on HP. As far as I know, HP is one of the only express carriers that has a F cabin on their RJs. US was planning on offering F on the new 700s but then decided against it . . . but I've digressed, my point being that even though I live on the east coast I'm rarely on a RJ, and have never been on an HP RJ. CMK10 Feb 4, 04, 5:12 pm UA is also flying it's CRJ-700's (operated by Mesa) with two rows of First Class in a 1-2 Configuration. There are some at PHX going to LAX. ------------------ DC-10's Forever!
