America West FlightFund (Discontinued Program) - Info from AWA FF about NWA 1st

I have always traveled AWA for domestic and BA for UK and I know what to expect in their First cabin.

A company booked travel for me this week to Montreal on NWA out of PHX in first. What can I expect compared to AWA? The flight leaving PHX is a 57 to DTW and then a 320 to Montreal. I am mostly looking at the meal aspect of the first cabin for planning purposes.

Northwest has far superior meal service compared to America West. You'll receive a real meal on PHX-DTW. There will be no inflight entertainment. Northwest's seats are cloth, rather than leather. I prefer to sit in row two, as legroom can be an issue in the bulkhead row. Also, sitting forward in the cabin will afford you a choice of meals.

DTW-YUL may or may not have a cold plate, depending on what time your flight leaves. The Northwest cold plate is pretty good and is generally served with a slice of cake and a side salad.
