Anyone know of the award booking codes for F and Y awards?

I am working on a general purpose award inventory search tool for all airlines. Testing with Delta codes has been promising, and I would like to test with HP codes to make sure that they match the availability as listed on the HP site.

The significant difference between this tool and what is available on HP is that this will should you availability for multiple days at a time.

I am also speculating that the award codes are for HP's internal use only, and would not be available for searching from a open reservation system. If someone can confirm it, it would save me some time in not having to investigate further.

The booking code for a value coach award is "G" and a value first award is "E".

Thank you for the info FlyerAl. It looks like neither G nor E booking class is available in a standard booking engine.

However, I did a little detective work, and it appears that booking classs M closely matches coach awards as displayed on HP's site. Based on my experiments, it appears to be 80-90% accurate.

I have created a prototype (3 frame version) (http://www.seatexpert.com/checker3.html), and a5 frame version (http://www.seatexpert.com/checker5.html) of upgrade availablity checker for Delta and America West. This tool uses the Galileo site for actual seat availability, and shows the result for any three consecutive days.

There are a number of known problems:
- If the date is entered less than 9, the submit button does not properly increment the date, and provide invalis results. Workaround is to use the three additional buttons to see days 1-3, 4-6 and 7-9 of any month.

- No end of month checking for invalid dates

- Does not automatically wrap to the next month or year

- Pull down list for booking class may not be accurate

- DL O, N, R, V classes does not work

- You will probably need screen resolution of 1024x768

- Ineffective use of screen real estate

- Data is presented in German, but should be pretty obvious to frequent flyers

- When you see the blue-fill box in the middle frame(s), that is an indication that there are actual availability for that day. Scroll the frame vertically and horizontally to see the data.
