America West FlightFund (Discontinued Program) - BWI-LAS Newbie Questions

I am flying July 31, 2003 on flight 777 out of BWI at 8:16PM on an Airbus A320. Coming back I'm leaving Las Vegas on flight 776 at 3:44PM.
I bought 4000 miles to add to my 16000 to get upgraded to FC both ways for $115.
1. What type of meal service if any can I expect in FC on each leg?
2. Others are flying with me in coach. What are the best seats for them to try to get on the A320?
3. Are there any other tips HP frequent fliers care to share with me?
Thanks!
You might want to check out the Fast Track to Silver offer (http://www.americawest.com/flightfund/promotions/form.asp?promocode=SC03), fly 6 round trips to earn Silver for the rest of the year, I think some suggest that as soon as you sign up for this offer, you will be Silver, doesn't hurt to ask America West to clarify.
There was a recent thread regarding food (or lack of such) on flights. Do a search, for just browse the threads within the last 30 days and I am sure you will find it.
By the way, on all HP flight in coach, there is no meal service other than perhaps some nuts.

Hi there, and welcome to FlyerTalk!
While this wasn't one of your questions, just in case you didn't know, your friends might be able to buy an upgrade to first class within 4 hours prior to departuire if space is available. Breakdown of pricing is: flights over 1,000 miles in distance, the upgrade cost is $150; flights between 501-1000 miles $100; less than 500 miles $50.

just took a trip on america west in first from phx, and posted that on airliners.net, but for you and an answer, the nite flight to the west will probably offer very little. usually, they only serve drinks and nuts after 7pm, no matter how long or what class. somebody on one forum did mention though that out of surprise, on an ewr to las late flight they did have a small wrap with tortilla chips and salsa, that may just be because of the competition with co. on the dinner flight eastbound, expect a choice of two cold choices. on eastbound flights, f/a are suppose to start with row 1 for orders, so take the bulkhead or row 2. on westbound flights, for some reason, they always start with row 3, so either way, row 2 is a safe bet. with the choice of entree, dessert will also be offered. have a great trip, hope we helped, and i look forward to a trip report. later
